Providing continuous physical, emotional, and informational support for women and families before, during and after childbirth.
Since 2004, I have supported hundreds of families as a birth & postpartum doula and childbirth educator. It truly has become my passion to help women approach childbirth and caring for a newborn with less fear and apprehension. I love helping them in creating positive birth memories, as well as supporting families as they adjust to bringing home their newest family member.
Having an experienced doula for support throughout labor will help with labor progression and pain coping, reduces the chance of cesarean, and increases in rate of vaginal birth after a cesarean (VBAC). A doula’s support for a father can build confidence, while providing information, reassurance and guidance if needed while supporting a mother.
It isn’t surprising that research confirms that new parents who have good support during the postpartum period have an easier postpartum adjustment, greater breastfeeding success, a decrease in the rate of post partum mood disorders, less abuse, and overall increased confidence.
I look forward to supporting you through this journey into parenthood!
